Bagilah gambar-gambar bercerita…

translation: Let the pictures tell the story… … … or something like that. My malay language is getting bad…

KL PAC is the closest a Malaysian could be to experiencing ‘European’ kinda setting in Malaysia… well, at least in Sentul West it is…

A few life lessons by JoJo:

1) Speak no evil

2) See no evil

3) Hear no evil

4) Err… erm, show evil your tongue as a sign of disrespect?

5) Always look on the bright side of life

6) If you made any silly mistakes, learn and laugh from it

7) Always stick your finger to your pouted lips whenever you wanna act cute

8) Always dream as high as the sky

9) Place yourself next to huge walls or tall objects to make you look slimmer

10) To be the leader of the pack, first you must FOLLOW the pack

11) Do not ever contemplate suicide; life is a gift from God.

12) If all else fails, take a failed jump shot.

The One With The New Babies

Posted in My experiences, Wonderful Things on November 5, 2008 by steve maestro

No, I’m not becoming a father… nor do I have new gadgets and stuff…

Here’s how it happened…

I was brushing my teeth this noon (yes I slept til noon) and I heard some chirping noises. I thought there were some birds in the house… I looked up and searched and but nothing was found. I moved closer to the hamster’s cage to look for signs of birds and stuff…

And then I knew only one thing is possible… the hamsters got new pups, new babies…

Panic as I knew nothing about taking care of new pups, frantically searching for boxes to store the mum and dad Hamtaro (I heard they will eat the babies if not separated or something). Thank God for internet as I searched for related stuff on the matter and I found a thread on lowyat.net teaching you how to care and nurse new pups.

So I did everything I was supposed to do, and voila. Photo time:

The irresponsible father Hamtaro. The one behind it all…

Shy mummy Hamtaro. So hard to get a picture of her being still and all.

The first baby pup. Compare them to the size of those wood beddings. They are really small and cute!

Second baby pup.

Third baby pup.

In total, there were 4 new hamster pups. Yes, 4 of them. One did not survive…

I thought it was sleeping. It did not give any response at all while the others were squiggling and squirming and stuff. Sigh, felt sad that you did not make it.

So yeah, that’s all. Anyone wanna adopt these Hamtaros when they grow up? Lemme know, don’t think I can accomodate so many in one cage, and I don’t fancy having two cages of hamsters.

“Will the new president of the United States please stand up?”

Congrats Obama. I feel a wind of change already…

The One With The Turn Off…

Was waiting for the mum to finish her banking stuff during lunch yesterday…

And a Fitness First salesperson came to try and promote their latest promotions and bla bla bla…

Was very interesting. For a small fee I get to get 1 month membership and bring one person to the gym anytime during their operating hours. And I get to choose a free gift too along the process… until he said…

Salesperson: “Sir, are you drive?”

Me: o_0 (that was my face’s expression to that question)

Me: Wh…What?

Salesperson: “Are you drive?”

Me: … …

What a turn down. What a let off. I think he meant do I drive or something. Sigh… there goes my keeping fit plan…

The One With The Encourager

Wow, I know you must be thinking Lam is actually posting two new posts in the span of an hour! Amazing~~…

Yeah, so I did. But I just wanna share this story to all you guys, so here goes:

There was once a sick old man, hospitalized and bed ridden for the near future. He was placed in this ward with one more bed ridden old woman, where the old woman occupies the bed next to the window.

As each day passed by, the recently admitted old man became irritated, being confined to the four walls and all, but the old woman next to him was very friendly and supportive, often chatting with him, and told him what was going on outside the hospital, since she could see what’s going on as she is next to the window. Everyday the old woman described how beautiful it is outside the hospital, describing the scenery, the birds that flew by and so on. And both of them enjoyed each others’ company in that ward.

One morning, the old man wakes up to find that the old woman is no longer there, the bed being cleaned up with new sheets and pillows. The nurses told him that the old woman passed away the night before. With much regret, the old man asked the nurse for permission to be placed next to the window, where the old woman was previously at, so that he could at least get the views and the wonderful scenes that the old woman was telling him all along. The nurse approved and he went over.

But all he saw was a huge big brown colored brick wall.

He then asked the nurse whether the wall was placed there the night before. The nurse replied that the wall had been there since the start of the hospital’s operations. And when the old man told the nurse about the wonderful things and scenery that the old woman told him all along, the nurse replied:

“But, sir, she was blind all along. She could not have seen anything even though it was there”

And the story ends. Look, all we need in our life are a few simple things. One of it, is encouragement. No matter how bad the situation is, always offer someone the encouragement that he or she needs.

The One With The MRSC Competition and Updates

Posted in Music, My experiences, Randoms, Wonderful Things on November 2, 2008 by steve maestro

If you’re reading this, yes I am very much still alive. Some of you hope that I’m dead or gone for good, but nah ahh, I’m still standing strong… or at least I think I am.

Oh, what’s with the ducks? Nah just something random… *thanks to the ducks in KL Performing Arts Center*

So studies is on hold now, undergoing two months of break and beginning next year I will be a year 2 student. Still think that my decision to hop wagons to switch from business to mass communication is the best decision I made for myself in the education path. To God be the glory for sustaining me all the way and guiding me throughout this switching process. So if you’re wondering, I really only have 1 and a half years left, and after that I’m off to my internship and I’m graduating after that.

Gonna start work with Nielsen company as a data entry personnel, together with her, for one month, and December is set to be a fantastic month already. Why? Okay, *clears throat*, here’s why.

I’m not the kinda person who joins competitions and stuff (too calculative and gutless to join these things, not brave enough, fear of rejection, and bla bla bla), but a David Lim wrote a song for this Malaysian Revival Songwriting Competition. It got selected to be in the prelimination rounds or heats as what they called it, and today was the selection round, where 9 out of 20 performers ranging from individuals and groups from all over the nation. David put together a group consisiting or Marcus, Ian, Aaron and myself, and guess what? We got through!! Yes we are in the finals, where the winner will get something big I guess. Not so sure myself, so please click HERE to find out more. And oh yeah…

This is not just a read and browse through post only, I mean yes it is, but this time it involves participation from you guys and gals…

You have to vote for us.

It’s very simple, just take your handphone (or someone else’s handphone), key in H and send it to 33225. Real easy right? And it only cost RM 0.50 per sms, I mean come on, that’s like… the price of a currypuff these days right? So yeah please support and vote for us. They might change the voting system since now it’s left back with 9 contestants, so check this space or their website for updates.

Besides that, December will be fun cuz it is Christmas! It always feels good during that time of the year. My church will be having an open house thingy in the community hall around my church area, and fingers crossed I hope I won’t be Santa Claus, though I ‘qualify’ to be one.

To the good times ahead… And oh a belated Hari Raya and Deepavali to all my Muslim and Hindu friends!
